In the summer of 2021, Renee Kinney and I put together a small event to gather people in wellness. It was a full day of yoga, self reflection, health education and fitness. We want to repeat this gem of an event in January of 2022. Winters are hard and the pressure to have a new year's resolution is palpable. Many of these resolutions fail by the end of January, so let us give you a boost and reignite your desire to better wellness.

The schedule is below and is subject to change as we continue planning an event that will serve YOU.

9AM | Yoga

Long, Slow, Deep: Yin style yoga class with long holds in poses to focus on your breath and the changes happening to your breath, body and mind. Accessible to all ages and levels, no experience needed.

Blocks and mats are available for use at D1 Training.

10AM | Smoothie Making & Snacks with Sweet Spot Nutrition

Hi! I'm one of your hosts and local nutrition coach Kali. I plan to walk you through building a healthful smoothie that is not only nourishing but satiating. Something that you can easily fit into your daily life. 

We will do out best to accommodate allergies during this demo as we want participants to be able to enjoy samples. 

10:30AM | Feel Your Feelings Talk + Demo with Christy Bartelt

Christy Bartelt is a firm believer that the true path to wellness lies not just through taking care of your physical body, but learning to manage your mind for a healthy mind body connection. Through her hypnotherapy work she has helped hundreds of people release unhelpful emotions, patterns and limiting beliefs in order to unlock deeper peace and wellness for themselves and their families. 
 

Over time it became clear to her that many people have become disconnected from the natural process of effectively dealing with feeling in a healthy way. Christy loves to teach how easy and intuitive it actually is to release disruptive emotional patterns in order to access more happiness, energy and health.  


Christy is a certified hypnotherapist, Rapid Transformational Therapy™️ Practitioner, HeartHealing™️ Practitioner and Emotional Resolution Practitioner. 

11:30AM | D1 Bootcamp

Get ready for a D1 style Bootcamp workout. We begin with a dynamic warm-up followed by strength work using some of the many implements we have available in our state-of-the-art facility. We'll wrap up with core and conditioning, cooldown and a breakdown. Let's go!

12:30PM | Lunch by Modern Crunchy Mama 

Get ready to enjoy a fresh and filling meal made by Megan Fletcher, the Modern Crunchy Mama. Megan strives to create delicious meals with local ingredients that will leave you feeling nourished. Meals are signed up for upon registration and included in ticket cost.

1PM | Essential Oils 101 + Foot Soak with Kimara Riggs

 

Greetings!  I am Kimara Riggs and I was invited to speak on essential oils with their uses and some benefits you can gain with their implementation in your life. 

 

A brief introduction of myself—I am a mother of three children, ages 5 years, 3 years, and 2 months old.  I studied at Carroll University with a bachelors in Human Biology/minor psychology and a doctorate in physical therapy.  I have been a practicing physical therapist for 7 years in Stevens Point, WI.  I tell people I was “dragged up to the tundra” by my husband, Kris, who is also a physical therapist in Stevens Point. 

 

Essential oils started to become part of our daily life after our first child was born and had skin reactions to products that were deemed safe and commonly found on store shelves.  From then on it snowballed into a natural lifestyle and going back to the basics.  I am excited to spend some time in sharing some of the knowledge that I have gained and hoping we can discover more together! 

2PM | Meditation with Angela May

 

  After completing my 200 hour yoga teacher training through School Yoga Institute and connecting with the lands of Sacred Valley, Peru, I knew that my path in life was to share this knowledge and wisdom with others. Yoga is the practice of going inward and slowly piecing yourself back together; It is an art that creates the perfect masterpiece between your mind, body, and soul. The purpose of class offerings is to provide students with tools they can use in their daily lives to discipline their mind, surrender to their soul, and create their life flow.

My intention as a professional Yoga Instructor and Healer is to guide students to listen to their inner selves and create the courage to step out of their comfort zone. I invite students to turn their gaze inwards and begin exploring the vast expansion of their being to gain access to their own inner wisdom and ability to heal. I intend to provide teachings and practices to quiet the mind and elevate ones quality of peace.

 

Meditation/Breathwork

 

Tap into a space of higher awareness through the power of breath. We will journey together through the art of meditation and the use of our breath to deepen our experience and clear the mind.

 

3PM | Closing Remarks and Disband

Join us after the event at a local establishment for drinks on us and to talk about the day.
